For that reason, ASID commissioned acoustical consultant Steven J. Orfield of Orfield Laboratories, Inc. and Dr. Jay L. Brand, a cognitive psychologist with Haworth, Inc., to take a fresh look at issues related to office acoustics and strategies for creating effective design solutions to deal with them.
